The north coast of the island is one of the most popular recreation areas in Trinidad. Steep headlands restrict the vast, horseshoe-shaped bay of Las Cuevas. On either side of it a bit smaller bays stretch, perfect for relaxing by the sea. The adjacent coast is full of various natural and cultural monuments. The main attractions of this region are the isolated One Thousand Steps Beach, Rincon beautiful waterfalls and Angel with the green bushes trail Rincon. At the end of the road tourists encounter the colorful village Blanshisso with the nearby ponds of Tree Pullz, Marianne River lagoon, the beach and waterfall of Paria Avocat.

Trinidad is not that rich in luxury beaches and miles of white sand, but here you can find almost any marine area. The main beach areas of the island are Maracas Bay, Las Cuevas, Blanshisso, Grande-Riviere and Toco Bay, Skottland Bay on the northwest coast, bays of Balandra and Salybia, Maillard in the southern part of the island and others. In the beach areas the great number of hotels and resorts of all categories, and numerous marine clubs and sports centers offer all facilities for your perfect recreation.

Tobago's main "trump cards" are its luxurious underwater world, untouched nature, deserted beaches and lush rainforests. Its unique tropical flavor, white and pink sands beaches and its wonderful fauna and flora make the island a desiring resort for many tourists. At the International Tourism Fair in London Tobago was awarded "Best Caribbean Island of the year" in 2004.

Unlike its southern neighbor, Tobago has a set of beautiful coasts and beaches, many of which are among the best resort areas of the Caribbean Sea. Among the best places to relax by the sea on the windward coasts are Turtle Beach, Pigeon Point, Sandy Point and Crown Point, Store Bay Bays, the entire coast near Speyside, Kings Bay, Custar, Parlatuve Bay and Inglishmens Bay.

Tobago has a well developed dive sites, like the Baku-Tobago Reef, the Columbus Passage, with its reefs Divers' Dream, Divers-Tirst, Flying Reef and Cove Reef, many beautiful areas around Kullodena, Mount Irvine and many other famous places. Famous Baku Reef near Pigeon Point is the best place for snorkeling and diving on the coast. It is home to more than forty coral varieties and 140 species of fish. Good conditions for snorkeling can be found in the Bay Pirates Bay, at Angel Reef, in Butt, Belmont, Starwood, and Kurland Great Bay. Often called "A diver's Disneyland", Tobago has a luxurious underwater ecosystems, the decoration of which is the so-called "brain coral", which is the largest in the world.
